El Kanemi Warriors head coach Kabiru Dogo has expressed satisfaction after his team secured a valuable away point in their Matchday 2 encounter against Ikorodu City in the ongoing Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season.

 

The Borno-based side held their hosts to a goalless draw on Sunday, frustrating an Ikorodu City team that had been eager to claim all three points in front of their home fans.

 

Speaking to reporters after the match, Dogo praised his players for their discipline and tactical execution.

 

“We came to Lagos aiming to pick up points, and I’m pleased we got one. The boys stuck to the plan and followed instructions,” Dogo said. “We respect Ikorodu City; they are a quality side.”

 

The result means El Kanemi Warriors remain unbeaten after two games, as they continue their return campaign in the topflight following promotion last season.
