Chairman of di Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Ola Olukoyede, don yarn tori wey shock many people, as e reveal how one former Nigerian governor disgrace himself for obodo oyinbo with reckless money showoff.

 

Olukoyede talk this one during one stakeholder meeting for Lagos on Friday. Di event gather people like film producers, bureau de change operators and other stakeholders to talk about how people dey misuse and mutilate Nigerian naira and the wahala of corruption.

 

As dem reach question-and-answer time, EFCC chairman no hold back. E say dem no dey wait make governors comot for office before EFCC begin look into dem matter.

 

“Make I give una one experience wey we get for EFCC,” Olukoyede start.

“One time for dis country, we dey investigate one governor. As I dey talk to una so, I dey investigate like 18 sitting governors. When dem comot for office, we go carry am to di next level.”

 

To show how some politicians dey waste public money anyhow, Olukoyede share one story wey happen after one former governor run go abroad to dodge arrest.

 

“Coincidentally, that week na him birthday. He organize one birthday party for hotel wey he dey stay,” he talk.

 

“As party dey go on, di ex-governor begin spray pounds — £50 notes, £10 notes just dey fly everywhere. Hotel manager shock! E never see that kind thing before. Na so e call 911.”

 

According to am, when UK police show, dem believe say di man don kolo.

 

“Dem say e no normal. Dem arrest am, wan carry am go hospital with ambulance. Dem think say na mental case,” Olukoyede narrate.

 

Na so friends and two serving Nigerian governors wey dey di party rush come explain give police say di man no mad, say na ex-governor wey just too get money and no sabi how to behave.

 

Olukoyede use the tori take point out how this kain shameful behavior dey spoil Nigeria name for outside country, and why public officials suppose get sense and behave well.

 

He end by saying say EFCC no go look person face or position — whether dem still dey office or don comot, anybody wey chop money or do anyhow go face justice.
