Nigeria Women’s Football League champions, Edo Queens, made a strong entrance in their debut CAF Women’s Champions League campaign, defeating Commercial Bank of Ethiopia 3-0 in their opening match on Sunday.
The WAFU B winners showed their strength early on, with Emmen Essien scoring just five minutes into the game, giving Edo Queens an immediate lead. The Nigerian champions maintained control, keeping the pressure on their Ethiopian opponents.
