Edna Imade Strikes Again: Super Falcons Prospect Nets 14th Goal to Power Granada’s Thrilling Comeback Win
Super Falcons prospect Edna Imade continued her sensational form in the Spanish Liga F, netting her 14th league goal of the season to inspire Granada to a hard-fought 2-1 away victory over Deportivo La Coruña on Saturday afternoon.
The 24-year-old forward struck the match-winner just minutes after Granada had equalized at the Estadio Abanca-Riazor, delivering yet another decisive performance, Footballrover reports.
Despite recording the fewest touches (26) among players who completed 90 minutes, Imade’s impact was undeniable. She completed 91% of her passes, won three aerial duels, made five recoveries, and produced four vital clearances to help her team secure the win.
Granada fell behind early after Millene Cabral opened the scoring for Deportivo La Coruña in the 20th minute. However, the visitors mounted a spirited comeback in the second half, with Ornella Vignola levelling the match in the 72nd minute before Imade sealed the victory just three minutes later.
Saturday’s heroics marked Imade’s 17th direct goal contribution this season, boasting 15 goals and two assists across 31 appearances.
Just last week, she had also provided a crucial assist in Granada’s 2-1 win over Valencia, underlining her growing importance to the team.
Thanks to Imade’s brilliance, Granada secured a third consecutive victory, although they remain in 5th place with 45 points. With three matches left in the campaign — including a daunting clash against Real Madrid — Granada will be aiming for a strong finish.
Regardless of the final standings, Edna Imade has firmly established herself as one of the standout stars of the Liga F season, consistently delivering for club and country ambitions.
