In a heartfelt show of compassion and community support, the Foundation of ECN Global Ventures Limited has extended its hands of fellowship to more than 50 widows in Iwo, Osun State.

The outreach program, which took place at the School of Special Needs Children, Iwo, was held under the distinguished chairmanship of Hon. Olasunkanmi Olaniyi James, Chairman of Iwo Local Government Area.

Speaking at the event, Hon. James commended the ECN Foundation for its benevolent gesture toward widows and the less privileged in the community. He expressed his gratitude and prayed for divine blessings upon the initiators of the program, urging other organizations to emulate such acts of kindness.

In her welcome address, Mrs. Felicia Uchechi Ngwaogu, Vice Chairman of the ECN Foundation, revealed that the initiative is part of a broader effort by the foundation to support vulnerable groups across the country. She noted that a similar empowerment program was organized for widows in Lagos earlier in June, while another edition is scheduled to take place in Abuja this December.

According to Mrs. Ngwaogu, the foundation’s objective is to “relate with widows and the less privileged in the little ways we can,” emphasizing that compassion and community care remain the driving forces behind the initiative. During the program, food items and cash gifts were distributed to the widows to help ease their daily challenges.

She further disclosed that the ECN Foundation has also reached out to hospital patients in both Lagos and Iwo, and has provided assistance to indigent students in two area councils within the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

The event was marked by joy and gratitude from beneficiaries, who expressed appreciation to the ECN Foundation for its continued support and encouragement in times of need.
