Echegini Strikes Early for PSG as Okeke Shines in Mexico

 

Jennifer Echegini wasted no time making an impact in France, scoring within two minutes to propel PSG to a dominant 4-0 victory over Le Mans FC in the Coupe de France Féminine quarterfinals. The Nigerian midfielder’s early goal set the tone for a commanding performance at Stade Marie-Marvingt, with Albert, Geyoro, and Leuchter adding to the tally to secure PSG’s spot in the semifinals.

 

Since joining from Juventus in July, Echegini has been a key presence for PSG, netting three goals in eight league games and adding two more in the cup competition. The Parisians now await the winner of Lille vs. Saint-Étienne in the next round.

 

Meanwhile, in Mexico, Chidinma Okeke joined the scoring party for Club América Femenil, heading home just before halftime to double her team’s lead in a 6-0 thrashing of Mazatlán in Liga MX Femenil. Daniela Espinosa opened the scoring, later completing a hat-trick, while Priscila Flor da Silva added a brace to cap off the dominant win at Estadio Ciudad de los Deportes.

 

With the victory, Club América climbed to second place in the league standings, just one point behind leaders Pachuca. Both Echegini and Okeke continue to shine for their clubs, proving their quality on the international stage.
