A former Senatorial Candidate for the Federal Capital Territory in the 2023 general election, Chief Dr. Anthony Ezekwugo has congratulated the Super Falcons on their remarkable 10th Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) title win.

In a heartfelt message released after the final whistle in Rabat, Morocco, Dr Anthony Ezekwugo praised the team’s resilience and determination as they came from behind to defeat host nation Morocco 3-2 in a thrilling encounter at the Princ

“The Super Falcons’ performance saturday night reflects the unwavering Nigerian spirit strong, determined, and victorious,” he said. “They’ve made the entire nation proud and inspired millions of young girls across Africa.”

Describing the win as a victory for all Nigerians, he emphasised the importance of continued support and investment in women’s football.

“As a Citizen , I join well meaning Nigerians in celebrating this golden moment. You are our champions, and we salute you,” He added.
