North Korea on Thursday night in Dominican Republic where the world U17 female football is being played made a record of providing the first Hat-trick scorer of the tournament in a 4-1 bashing of Mexico in group C.

One of the three Choe sisters, Rim-Jong Choe made history scoring in the 14th, 34th and 85th minutes while her sister, Il-Son Choe scored the 2nd goal of the match in the 26th minute. Rim-Jong was later denied two more goals by the Mexican Goalie.Their other sister, Yon-A Choe supplied passes from the midfield.

Mexico redeemed a goal when VAR approved what looked like a controversial Citlalli Vazquez goal in 51st minute. The Ref felt she collected the pass from Soto Ramirez from an offside position.  

Korea and Mexico has no record of any meeting before now but North Korea who are in their 7thattendance won the title twice in 2008 and 2016; won Silver in 2012; placed 4th in 2010 and made the quarterfinal in 2018.

Mexico coming to the party for the 6th time made the Silver in 2018.

The two other teams in group C England and Kenya would take to the pitch at midnight.
Japan and debutante Poland in group D played a barren draw

The Little Nadeshiko of Japan are appearing for the 7th time but held the title in 2014 claiming the Silver twice in 2010 and 2016.

Another debutantes team, Zambia will face the Samba Girls of Brazil also at midnight in the same group.

In the previous matches played, Nigeria shoved New Zealand 4-1; Spain humbled the Yankee Babes of USA 3-1; South Korea and Columbia played 1-1 draw while Ecuador beat hosts Dominican Republic 2-0.

Second group matches will start on Saturday when Nigeria will play a decisive match against Ecuador at 2100 hours and Spain at the same time will meet South Korea. 

At midnight of Saturday, Dominican Republic will play a redemption match against New Zealand of face the exit door; Columbia at the same time will face USA and on Sunday at 2100 hours will be two matches, Japan versus Brazil and North Korea versus Kenya.
