Nasarawa United Technical Director, Kabiru Dogo, has expressed disappointment over his side’s failure to capitalize on key opportunities in their 2-0 loss to Rangers International.

The Solid Miners endured a frustrating defeat in their 2024/2025 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) Match Day 10 clash at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium in Enugu, with both goals coming in the second half. The loss marked their second consecutive away defeat, following a 1-0 setback to Sunshine Stars two weeks ago at the Otunba Dipo Dina International Stadium in Ijebu-Ode.

Reflecting on the match, Dogo said, “We did well to keep the score level in the first half, and we controlled much of the second half. However, we failed to convert our chances. Our inability to maintain the intensity and some individual errors cost us, while Rangers took full advantage of their opportunities.”

He vowed to address the team’s inconsistency and focus on improvement. “We’ll work on our consistency and strive to bounce back in our next match,” he added.

Following the defeat, Nasarawa United dropped to 14th place in the NPFL standings with 12 points. They will look to recover in their next match, a North-Central derby against Kwara United, scheduled for Sunday, November 10, 2024, at the Lafia City Stadium, with kickoff at 4 p.m.
