National Sports Commission (NSC) Chairman, Mallam Shehu Dikko, has pledged the commission's support for the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) and new Super Eagles head coach, Eric Sekou Chelle. Dikko made this commitment during Chelle's unveiling ceremony, emphasizing that the NSC's success is tied to the NFF's success.

The NSC chairman expressed satisfaction with the thorough process that led to Chelle's appointment, congratulating him on being part of Nigeria's football journey. Dikko also highlighted the importance of supporting Chelle, citing his impressive record with the Malian national team, including 14 wins, 5 draws, and only 3 losses in 22 games.

To complement the NFF's efforts, Dikko proposed the establishment of a Presidential Support Group (PSG), which will provide support without taking over the NFF's responsibilities. He emphasized that Chelle's selection aligns with the NSC's plans to transition Nigerian football from a competition-driven to a development-driven industry.

Dikko concluded by urging stakeholders to support Chelle and the NFF, assuring that the NSC will provide necessary support to achieve desired results.
