Clinton Jephter Degol, a former Niger Tornadoes winger says he's delightedly 'proud' to pen a deal with Nigeria Champions, Rangers International.

The winger completed a season long move to the 8th time NPFL winners after signing the contract documents at the Coal City Flying Antelopes Corporate Head Office, 23 Lugard Avenue, Abakaliki Road, Enugu.

The youth prodigy is thus on line for a place in Manager Fidelis Ilechukwu's squad for the 2024/2025 Total Energie/CAF Champions League as well as the domestic NPFL and President Federation Cup campaigns.

Dejol was in no mood to hide his excitement after signing the one-year contract papers in the presence of Rangers officials.

"First, I want to thank God for making it possible for me to be here", Dejol offered.

"Secondly, I feel so happy and good to join a great club like Rangers who are the reigning league champions. I feel proud to be part of this club.

"I know the signing is coming late but I am grateful it happened due to pressures from a couple of clubs for my services. It was a hard decision for me but I believe Rangers is the right choice and right place for me and I feel happy and good to be here.”

Jephter was amongst the top performers for Niger Tornadoes in the concluded season.

The Bayelsa State-born winger is the 10th addition the Coal City Flying Antelopes have made in the transfer window as Fidelis Ilechukwu continues to bolster the team for a successful title defense and fruitful continental challenge in the coming season.

Rangers will get their 2024/2025 campaign underway on August 16, 17, or 18 when they will travel to U.S Zilimadjou of Comoros in the CAF Champions League preliminary round match first leg tie.
