Defense Headquarters Declares 9 Terrorists Wanted
The Armed Forces of Nigeria has declared 9 persons wanted for terrorism, violent extremism, against the state in the North East.
The Director Defense Media Operations, Major General Edward Buba disclosed this while briefing the Journalist in Abuja.
He noted that the wanted terrorists include ABU KHADIJAH, ABDURRAHMA, DADI GUMBA (ABU MUHAMME, ABU YUSUF, MUSA WA'A, USMAN KANIN SHEHU, IBRAHIM SUYEKA, BA SULHU, IDRIS TAKLAKSE
Major general Edward Buba said the wanted terrorists and bandits commanders are from the North-East zone
and urged the public to provide any information they know about the wanted criminals.
He also disclosed of an emerging terrorists sect in the north west called Lakurawas saying their origin is traceable to ISIS in the Sahelian Region, who capitalized on the collapsed joint border operations with Nigerian security forces at the Niger and Chad borders, which checkmated the terrorists.
Further revelation is that the Lakurawas are affiliates of terrorists from Republics of Mali and Niger. They started infiltrating into northern parts of Sokoto and Kebbi states from the Niger and Mali areas, particularly after the coup in Niger Republic.
