Davido Reveals He Would Still Be in Entertainment Industry If Not Singing

Afrobeats star David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has shared that his career would have remained in the entertainment industry even if he hadn't become a singer.
In a recent conversation with content creator Darryl, the music icon explained that his educational background would have steered him toward behind-the-scenes roles in the music business.
"I studied business marketing, so I would have still been in the entertainment space [if I wasn't singing] but probably, more of behind the scenes," Davido said.
The award-winning artist also revealed his interest in acting and filmmaking, noting that he's planning to venture into film production this year. "I am investing in a couple of films this year. Shoutout to my director, Dammy Twitch. We have some ideas, series coming," he disclosed.
Davido expressed optimism about entering the African film industry, which he described as currently facing financial challenges. "The film space right now in Africa is going bankruptcy. So, we are definitely going to tap into that," he stated.
The singer also highlighted his acting abilities, pointing to his performances in his own music videos as evidence of his talent. "I can also act. I can act for real. I act in my music videos. I acted in music videos like 'Jowo', 'Nwa Baby'," Davido said.
