Afrobeats superstar Davido has revealed that he and his wife Chioma are taking a hiatus from expanding their family further.

In a recent episode of "Ride Along With Darryl," the father of five stated firmly, "I don't want more children now. Me and my wife are taking a break."

The "Omo Baba Olowo" hitmaker explained that the decision is largely to support Chioma's professional ambitions after she has focused on motherhood. "She needs to get out to work. She wants to do a lot of things like opening her restaurant and launching her spices," Davido shared.

"I feel she deserves a couple of years off after having 3 kids," he added, emphasizing his support for his wife's career aspirations.

The couple welcomed twins—a boy and a girl—in 2023, which came approximately one year after they experienced the tragic loss of their first son, Ifeanyi, in a swimming pool accident.
