Daniel Football Academy Kwali Hails FCTFA Board Member Babatunde Akintade for Historic Support

Daniel Football Academy (DFA), Kwali, has expressed profound appreciation to Mr. Babatunde Akintade (Bucknor), a board member of the Federal Capital Territory Football Association (FCTFA), for his exceptional support towards the development of grassroots football in the community.
In a statement issued by the club, DFA described Bucknor’s contribution as instrumental in securing the team’s participation in the ongoing Nationwide League One (NLO) Division 2 — a feat the academy says marks a “lifetime record” for Kwali Area Council.
“Your generosity in granting us the opportunity and privilege to participate in the ongoing Nationwide League Division 2 is a landmark achievement for the club and Kwali at large,” the statement read.
Daniel Football Academy becomes the first team from Kwali Area Council to feature in the NLO, a milestone the club attributes to Mr. Bucknor’s dedication and commitment to opening doors for young football talents.
The academy also commended him for his pioneering role in accelerating football growth in Gwagwalada Area Council, where he has laid a foundation that has fostered unity, hope, and pride among players and fans.
“Your passion for football, not just for our team but across the entire FCT, continues to inspire young talents and give them a platform to flourish. Your legacy will forever be remembered in the hearts of the football community,” the statement added.
The NLO Division 2 campaign is ongoing, with DFA Kwali aiming to make a strong impression in their debut season.
