Nigeria has won the 1st edition of Africa cup track 2019.

Nigeria beats seven other countries to emerged the champions with 21 gold 18silver and 12 bronze medal

Egypt came second with 8 gold 7 silver and 7 bronze medal while morocco finished third with 4 gold 3 silver

Burkinafaso,Burundi and Ghana finished fourth ,fifth and sixth respectively

Speaking at the end of the competition,president of cycling federation of Nigeria,Domenico massari said the tournament has been impressive but he lamented the failure of the private sector to key in to their activities saying cycling has huge potentials and is a gold mine.

He however thanked the federal government for the velodrome which is the best in Africa and with hosting the maiden Africa cup-track 2019,’Nigerians should prepare for more tournaments because this is just the beginning’ he said
