One Magistrates' Court for Jos don sentence one 23-year-old trader, Joseph Peter, to nine months for prison for stealing foodstuff, gas cooker, and other items from im neighbour's house. Magistrate Shawomi Bokkos deliver di verdict on Wednesday after Peter plead guilty to charges of housebreaking and theft. 

Di court offer Peter option of N20,000 fine instead of prison sentence. On top of dat, di magistrate order Peter to pay N130,000 compensation to di complainant. According to prosecution counsel, Ijuptil Thiawur, di case be reported at Anglo-Jos Police Station on January 11 by Ngumut Jacob, di complainant.

Court hear say Peter no only steal foodstuff and gas cooker, but also clothes, laptop, and mobile phone. Di case show say housebreaking and theft be serious offence wey go attract punishment.
