Grade A Customary Court for Mapo, Ibadan, Oyo State don officially dissolve di 10-year-old marriage between Adebimpe and her husband, Olusoji.

Na di court president, Mrs. O.E. Owoseni, give the judgment for Court 2. She talk say the marriage don scatter because of lack of love and care, deceit, drug addiction, and domestic violence wey the woman suffer from Olusoji.

 

As part of di judgment, di court give Adebimpe full custody of their children, and also warn Olusoji make e no harass, threaten or interfere with her life again.

 

Mrs. Owoseni still yarn say both of dem do proper court wedding, and dem give Olusoji chance to defend himself, but e no show face for court.

 

She talk say the evidence wey Adebimpe bring show clearly say the man no dey responsible at all, and that alone na enough reason to break the marriage.

 

Adebimpe talk say she and Olusoji meet for 2014 and marry for 2015. But before wedding, the man lie say him get National Diploma (ND), only for am to confess some weeks to wedding say na cultism make dem rusticate am from school.

 

She say:

 

“One month after we marry, I discover say my husband dey take drugs. I report am give him parents, dem say make I dey pray for am. Dem promise say him go change, but instead, e worsen.”

 

She continue say di man no dey provide for house, no dey support their children education, and e go always beat her anytime she ask am to do his duty.

 

“At a point, he even resign from him job and start dey live for my own house. Life come hard — we dey manage anyhow to chop. Later, after we fight, e stop to dey come house at all.”

 

She say both family try to settle them, but Olusoji still refuse to return home.

 

With all these evidence, the court don break di marriage and give Adebimpe her freedom.

 

Na so marriage wey start with lie and suffering end for court.
