The Lady German Machines on Sunday night sent uncomfortable signals to the Falconets of Nigeria as the team walloped Venezuela in Group D at the Estadio Metropolitano de Techo.

Hoffenheim 11 Forward, Marie Steiner opened Germany’s goals account in the 15th minute before Leverkusen’s Loreen Bender scored the 2nd goal via penalty kick and also scored her brace at added time of 45+6th minute through Schneider connect. Zdebel had assisted Sophie Nachtigall to score the 3rd goal in the 44th minute.

Venezuela got her first goal at the Mundial via an own Goal from German Goalkeeper Rebecca Adamczyk in the 43rd minute. Germany secured the 5th goal in the 56th minute when Nachtigall found left winger Cora Ziccai who scored a brilliant goal.

Floriangel Apostol got a consolatory 2nd goal for Venezuela in the 90+5th minute  when Gonzalez Gelves put her on course. It was Venezuela’s first real goal at the mundial.

Germany completely dominated the game with 20-5 shots at goal; 7-1 on target; 74-26% ball possession stringing 486-188 passes; 9-1 Corners but the Germans were as usual physical with 14-13 foul calls and 4-0 offside calls.

The only time Venezuela qualified for the mundial final at Papua New Guinea in 2016 she was knocked out at the group stage.

Germany missed one out of eleven tournaments, won the title thrice at Thailand 2004 when she beat China 2-0; in 2010 when she beat Nigeria 2-0 in the final and repeated a defeat dose to Nigeria at the 2014 finals in Canada by a lone goal after extra Time, In 2012 at Japan, Germany lost in the final to USA by a lone goal but at the maiden edition Canada 2002 she beat Brazil to win the Bronze on penalties 4-3 after full time ended 1-1.

The only time Germany met Venezuela was at Thailand 2016 with Germany winning 3-0.

Venezuela on 26th April lost 2-3 to Columbia; defeated Peru 6-1 on  29th April; lost to Brazil 0-2 on 3rd May and on 6th August played 2-2 with Argentina all in the year 2024.

Columbia once beat Germany 1-0 on 10th August 2022; Germany dazed New Zealand 3-0 on 13th August  2022 and on 17th August 2022 lost to Mexico 0-1.

At the Estadio Pascual Guerrero, Real Madrid’s Olaya Rodriguez got a Corrales connect in the 8th minute to open scores for Spain against USA in a classical C game.

At midnight today, Paraguay will slug it out with Morocco in Group C while at the same time the potent Falconets of Nigeria will test their might against South Korea.

On Monday at 2300 hours North Korea will look eyeball to eyeball with Argentina in group F while at the same time Ghana will face Australia in group E.

Tuesday will feature Japan versus New Zealand at 0200 hours the time Costa Rica will also square it up against the Orange Girls of Netherlands. Mexico will meet Australia that Tuesday at 2300 hours.

Cameroon that played 2-2 with Mexico in their first game will play 0200 hours of Wednesday against hosts Columbia; remember whipped babies of Fiji Island will try to play Bob Marley’s Redemption Song against Canada at 0200 hours in Group B on Wednesday.

Later that Wednesday the Falconets of Nigeria will play their second crucial game against German Machine at 2300 hours in Group D while Spain will engage Paraguay at the same time in Group C.
