The Selection Girls of Brazil has created a world record in the U20 female football competition by pounding debutantes Bula Girls of Fiji 9-0 in their first Group B appearance at the Columbia 2024 tournament.

It was a massive bulala, a word meaning beating in Nigerian lexicon as seven Samba Brazilian babes supplied the 9 goals with two of them making braces (slang for scoring 2 goals in a match) namely Amaral Santana in the 9th and 24th minutes and Vendito Coelho in the 27th and 28th minutes.

She made 4th position twice at the 1st edition in Canada in 2002 and at Thailand in 2006.

Brazil automatically and temporarily heads group B with 9 goals and 3 points; France has one point and no goals difference like Canada while Fiji Islands will have to fight to pay back the deficit goals to move to the Knockout rounds.

Brazil faces France on Tuesday at 2300 hours in the 2nd match while Fiji Island will meet Canada at 0200 hours on Wednesday.

Tuesday will feature Japan versus New Zealand at 0200 hours the time Costa Rica will also square it up against the Orange Girls of Netherlands. Mexico will meet Australia that Tuesday at 2300 hours.

Cameroon that played 2-2 with Mexico in their first game will play 0200 hours of Wednesday against hosts Columbia; remember whipped babies of Fiji Island will try to play Bob Marley’s Redemption Song against Canada at 0200 hours in Group B on Wednesday.

Later that Wednesday the Falconets of Nigeria will play their second crucial game against German Machine at 2300 hours in Group D while Spain will engage Paraguay at the same time in Group C.
