Renowned Nigerian coach Wemimo Olanrewaju Mathew has expressed gratitude to God after receiving two prestigious awards—Best Coach of the First Round of the NWFL and Coach of the Month for February 2025—from the Unstoppable Sports Foundation.

 

With an impressive 19 points out of a possible 21 in the first round of the league, Mathew acknowledged the collective effort behind the achievement. “All thanks and glory be to You, Lord. These awards are a morale booster and encouragement to work even harder,” he shared.

 

He extended his appreciation to his players, assistant coaches, backroom staff, management, and fans, dedicating the awards to Jesus Christ and female football coaches across Nigeria.
