Adebayo Gbadebo, a Nigeria coach based in Thailand and a former Stationary Stores of Lagos and Green Eagles midfielder, has has penned a congratulatory message to Finidi George, following his appointment as Jose Peseiro's successor as Super Eagles Head Coach, Exclusivenews.com.ng reports.

The Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, on Monday announced the appointment of Finidi as new Super Eagles technical helmsman following recommendation by the Technical and Development Committee of the football house.

Hours later after news hit town about the Enyimba FC coach's latest appointment, Gbadebo, incumbent Manager of Samut Sakhon City F.C, Thailand mailed his congratulatory message to the former Ajax Amsterdam winger and UEFA Champions League winner.

"Congratulations to Finidi for a 'fantastic' opportunity given to you by the NFF as the new Super Eagles Head Coach", Gbadebo began and  saluted the wisdom of NFF in selecting the 1994 AFCON winner with Super Eagles as the best man for the senior National Team job.

"With my experience in the area of football management, I believe that the NFF have the best reasons for preferring the New Head Coach above all other contestants for the job, including some expatriate coaches.

"Manchester City choice of Pep Guardiola was predicated on the fact that they believed that he is capable of fulfilling their vision.

"So, I believe that NFF chose Finidi also because they believe he can fulfill their vision".

Gbadebo would go on to inform Exclusivenews.com.ng that Finidi George, an indigenous coach, appointment by the NFF as Super Eagles Head Coach is significantly a huge progressive step as long as it is not based on any sentiment but purely based on Professionalism and Excellence.

"Finidi, I believe, has the qualities as a Professional Coach with required licenses and the experience as the Assistant Head Coach to the last Portuguese Coach, Jose Peseiro, to lead Nigeria National Team", he said.

"Finidi, I believe, knows what it means to be a winning Coach. He did it in the Domestic League last season with Enyimba.

"Head Coaching Job is all about getting good results and not excuses especially for our nation - Nigeria, a country endowed with more than sufficient, experienced and quality players both at home and abroad.

"I know that he also knows that to win, he must have a clear vision or goal and there must be a very serious plan of achieving the goal. A lot also depends on the NFF to demonstrate the trust in Finidi as the Super Eagles Head Coach and not as a Nigerian that they think that they are giving an opportunity.

"The NFF must back up his Plans both on the Technical Team and the Players. Everyone must know that the success of Finidi is the success of Nigeria.

"Finidi, needs quality Professionals as backroom staff as we take a closer look at the National Team of Senegal.

"Once again, Congratulations to Finidi and NFF", Gbadebo concluded.
