Popular cleric Chris Oyakhilome has sparked discussion after dismissing questions about his net worth, insisting that his riches transcend conventional measures like cash, bank accounts, or material possessions.

 

During a sermon, Oyakhilome questioned why anyone would attempt to quantify his wealth using ordinary standards. “True wealth cannot be calculated with any Japanese calculator,” he said, emphasizing a spiritual dimension of riches that, according to him, guides his life.

 

The pastor shared a personal story, recalling how his younger daughter once declared that the only truly rich beings are God and her father. Oyakhilome affirmed the statement, noting that even as she has grown, her belief in his unique form of wealth remains unchanged.

 

He cited Ephesians 3:8 to highlight what he described as the “unending, boundless, incalculable and exhaustless riches of Christ,” arguing that this divine wealth surpasses human comprehension.

 

“That’s how rich I am,” he declared, asserting that operating from this level ensures he will never experience lack. “I’ll never be broke in my life,” he added confidently, stressing that his wealth is eternal, limitless, and independent of earthly systems.

 

His remarks have generated mixed reactions online, with supporters praising the spiritual perspective, while critics questioned the emphasis on personal wealth in a religious context.
