The Senior Special Assistant to the President on Grassroots Sports Development,Adeyinka Adeboye, popularly known as Zulu, has charged home-based Super Eagles, to go for victory against their Ghanaian counterpart today. 

The Coach Daniel Ogunmodede-tutored Super Eagles B will host in the second leg at the Black Galaxies at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo to pick at one of the tickets for next year's African Nations Championship (CHAN) to be co-hosted by Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania from February 1st to 28th February, 2025. The first leg in Accra a week ago ended goalless. 

Zulu, a seasoned sports administrator, in a release by his media office on Saturday said, "I want to call on our boys to go for victory against the Black Galaxies as the whole country is behind them. They are our pride and we will do all that is possible to make sure that they fly past their eternal rival. 

"I want to urge them to maintain and sustain maximum concentration in the course of the match, approach the match with all seriousness, be tactical in their approach and listen to the coach's instructions. 

"They should bear in mind the recent happenings between us and Ghana. They are the reason we did not attend the last CHAN and international tournaments. They have  been a thorn in our flesh  The Black Stars denied. us the World Cup qualification for Qatar 2022 and eliminated the Super Eagles B from previous editions in 2009, 2014, and 2023. I believe with determination, concentration and the never-say-die Nigerian spirit in our boys, the Super Eagles B will make us proud today. I wish them all the best."

The winners between Nigeria and Ghana will join other qualifiers for the Championship proper and if Nigeria wins, it will be reaching its first CHAN finals since 2018.
