The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has officially confirmed the fixtures for Matchdays Three (3), Four (4) and Five (5) of the TotalEnergies CAF Champions League 2025/26 and TotalEnergies CAF Confederation Cup 2025/26 group stages.

 

Africa’s flagship interclub competitions are set to resume later this month after being placed on hold in December to allow the continent’s best national teams compete at the TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations Morocco 2025. The next round of matches will be played between Friday, 23 January and Sunday, 25 January across various venues on the continent.

 

Before the pause, two rounds of group-stage fixtures had already been completed, producing early indicators of intent from several title contenders while leaving many groups finely balanced. Matchday Three represents the halfway mark of the group phase and is widely regarded as a decisive moment in the race for the quarter-finals, where momentum and consistency become critical.

 

CAF Champions League Highlights

 

Action in the TotalEnergies CAF Champions League will get underway on Friday, 23 January, with record 12-time African champions Al Ahly opening Matchday Three against Tanzania’s Young Africans in Cairo at 16:00 GMT (18:00 local time).

 

Later the same day, South African giants Mamelodi Sundowns will host Sudan’s Al Hilal at Loftus Versfeld Stadium in Pretoria, with kickoff scheduled for 18:00 GMT (20:00 local time).
