Hosts Brazil early Saturday morning breezed into the round of 16 with a two nil bashing of debutantes Angola of Africa in the third group A match of the world U17 male football tournament.

T. Magno opened scoring for Brazil in 68′ before De Souza increased the tally to two in 77′. It was the first defeat of Angola in the grand finale.

New Zealand piped Canada 1-0 via Garbett 27′ goal sending the Canadians home without a point from three matches.

Angola despite the loss to Brazil qualified along with the hosts having chalked 6 points winning two matches and having no goals difference on the table.

It may however be difficult for third place New Zealand in the group to qualify as lucky loser because with her 3 points she has a -3 goals difference on the table.
