Bosso Says Bayelsa Utd Will Come Good; Pleased With Team's Performance Against Nasarawa Utd
Bayelsa United Head Coach, Ladan Bosso says his 'Prosperity Boys' are gradually finding their rhythm in the 2024/2025 Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, after a goalless draw against Nasarawa United in Lafia, on Sunday.
The Prosperity Boys secured their first away point in the season in the Match Day Five fixture, having dropped points to Rangers in a rescheduled match in Enugu on Thursday.
Bosso said the team was gradually making progress in the league after a slow start to the season. He described the dropped point as 'unfortunate'.
"The performance of the team in the last two games indicates the level of the onward movement of the team", Bosso said, adding, "with time the Prosperity Boys will win games without stress".
The former Nigeria U20s National Team Coach praised the doggedness of his youthful side in the last two games in the league, stressing that the team's current position on the log is not a true reflection of the lads' performance on the pitch.
Reflecting on the team's wastefulness in front of goal, the former Flying Eagles boss reckoned that he was working round the clock to work on his players' confidence and composure, pointing out that his target was to win at Lafia.
He hailed his team’s effort in creating scoring opportunities but noted that the team's inability to convert their chances would soon be a thing of the past.
Bayelsa United will next face Plateau United on Sunday at the Samson Siasia Stadium, Yenagoa in a matchday six fixture.
