The Sports Editor of Blueprint Newspapers, Mr. Lekan Olaseinde, has announced the passing of his father, Pa Albert Akinwumi Olaseinde, who died at the age of 100.

Mr. Olaseinde disclosed the sad news in a press statement issued on Saturday, stating that his father passed away on Friday after a fulfilled and impactful life.

Describing the late patriarch as a devout Christian and respected disciplinarian, the Blueprint Sports Editor noted that Pa Olaseinde was widely regarded as a teacher of high repute who dedicated his life to shaping young minds and contributing meaningfully to society.

“He was a devout Christian, disciplinarian and teacher of high repute,” he stated.

Pa Olaseinde was also a prominent community leader and an alumnus of St Andrew’s College, Oyo. Throughout his lifetime, he was known for his integrity, wisdom, and unwavering commitment to community development.

According to Mr. Olaseinde, the late Pa Albert Akinwumi Olaseinde hailed from the family of Late Pa Ajisomo Durojaiye of Ijesamodu-Ekiti in Ilejemeje Local Government Area. He was described as an eminent figure whose century-long life was marked by service, leadership, and fulfillment.

The deceased is survived by several children, grandchildren, and extended family members.

Mr. Olaseinde further stated that burial arrangements are currently underway, adding that the family will, in due course, make public the details of the funeral ceremonies for the benefit of friends, well-wishers, and sympathisers.
