Benue State Governor Sacks Lobi Stars CEO, Dominic Iorfa


Governor Hyacinth Iormem Alia of Benue State has relieved Dominic Iorfa, a former international footballer, of his duties as the Chief Executive Officer of Lobi Stars Football Club of Makurdi. This decision was announced in a statement by Solomon Iorpev, Technical Adviser to the Benue State Governor on Media, Publicity, and Strategic Communication, on Saturday evening.

According to the statement, the Governor has directed that Lobi Stars FC will now be under the supervision of the Benue Sports Council, effective immediately. A new Board of Directors has been constituted to oversee the club's affairs, comprising:

1. Dr. Philip Nongu - Chairman
2. Dr. Iorngulum Malu - Secretary
3. Chief Solomon Andiir - Member
4. Mr. Harry Yachi - Member
5. Mr. Francis Ejiga - Member
6. Sir James Iorpuu - Government Representative

The Governor has instructed that all management handovers must be completed before midnight on Saturday, September 7, 2024. This move is expected to bring a new era of leadership and management to Lobi Stars FC.
