Bendel Insurance Football Club has officially appointed Coach Kennedy Boboye as the new Technical Manager, following a mutual agreement between both parties. The decision, effective immediately, marks a significant step in the club’s bid to rejuvenate its performance in the ongoing Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season.

 

The Delta-born tactician brings with him a wealth of experience and success in the NPFL, having previously managed top-tier sides and earned a reputation for tactical discipline and team rebuilding.

 

After a comprehensive evaluation process, the club’s management found Boboye to be the ideal candidate to take full charge of the technical department. He has been handed a two-year contract, reflecting the club’s confidence in his ability to steer the Benin Arsenals to greater heights.

 

“His proven track record, impressive credentials, and deep experience in the NPFL made him the right fit for our ambitions,” the club stated in an official release.

The appointment comes at a critical time for Bendel Insurance, who are seeking to stabilize their technical setup following the suspension of Head Coach Greg Ikhenoba on Monday, October 6. During the interim, Coach Baldwin Bazuaye (MON), an Executive Director at the Edo State Sports Commission, temporarily stepped in to oversee the team.

 

In response to the transition, the Executive Chairman of the Edo State Sports Commission, Hon. Amadin Desmond Enabulele, expressed gratitude to Coach Bazuaye for his dedication and leadership during the interim period.

 

“We thank Coach Bazuaye for his commitment and professionalism. His intervention came at a time of great need, and he ensured continuity and stability,” Enabulele said.

 

With Coach Boboye now at the helm, expectations are high among the club’s management and supporters. The club is optimistic that his leadership will usher in a new era of renewed confidence, tactical improvement, and competitive edge in both domestic and continental competitions.
