Bayelsa Set to Host Yenagoa City 10KM International Race in April
Bayelsa State is set to host elite runners and fitness enthusiasts from across Nigeria and beyond as the Yenagoa City 10KM International Race takes centre stage on April 4, 2026.
The highly anticipated race, scheduled to hold in Yenagoa, promises a thrilling celebration of athletic excellence, wellness and culture, with organisers expecting participation from professional athletes, amateur runners and fitness enthusiasts.
The race will commence from Obollo Roundabout and conclude at Peace Park Square, where participants and spectators will also be treated to a vibrant post-race concert.
Designed to promote healthy living, sports tourism and community engagement, the event is expected to attract a wide range of participants eager to compete for rewards while embracing the spirit of sportsmanship.
Interested participants can register physically at the Ministry of Sports Complex in Yenagoa or complete their registration online through the official race portal.
Organisers disclosed that race kits will be available for collection between April 1 and April 3, 2026, at Peace Park in Yenagoa.
According to the organisers, the event will not only showcase Bayelsa’s hospitality but also position the state as an emerging hub for international sporting events by bringing together athletes and visitors from different backgrounds in the shared pursuit of wellness and athletic excellence.
