The Badminton Federation of Nigeria (BFN) is unwavering in its commitment to improving the country's performance in global sporting events, especially in the Paralympic and Olympic Games, with a strong focus on the upcoming LA 2028 Games.

In a bid to enhance Nigeria's badminton capabilities, the federation has taken significant steps toward developing elite coaches. Following the media launch for the LA Games and the conclusion of a training camp for para players, the BFN facilitated a Level 1 Badminton World Federation (BWF) coaching course. This week-long capacity-building program saw 13 elite coaches, including former African champion, come together to elevate their skills and knowledge.

Course instructor Ahmed Radah, who is also the Development Officer for the Badminton Confederation of Africa (BCA), expressed his admiration for the immense talent in Nigeria. He is optimistic that the country will emerge as a dominant force in global badminton.

BFN President Francis Orbih emphasized the federation's determination to maintain Nigeria’s position as a leading power in African badminton. Looking ahead to the LA 2028 Games, Nigeria is set to host the Africa Badminton Championship in 2025, marking a pivotal moment for the nation's development in the sport.
