Nigerian Afrobeats star Ayra Starr has dismissed reports that her new five-year management deal with Roc Nation includes a clause preventing her from having a boyfriend or starting a family.

The 22-year-old singer, born Oyinkansola Sarah Aderibigbe, recently signed with the U.S. entertainment powerhouse owned by rapper and business mogul Jay-Z. Shortly after the announcement, speculation swirled on social media, with one podcaster claiming in a viral video that the deal restricted her personal life.

“Ayra Starr isn’t allowed to have a boyfriend or start a family during her five-year contract with Roc Nation,” the podcaster alleged.

Ayra Starr quickly shut down the rumor, responding on X with a sarcastic post:

“Does Ayra Starr know about this?”

She later reposted a tweet that read:

“Them lie on top your head for broad daylight,”
further confirming the claim was false.

The singer, known for hits like Rush and Commas, has not commented further on the speculation.
