The Catholic Diocese of Awka, Anambra, don promise say dem go check well into di matter wey concern one Reverend Father wey allegedly beat one female teacher for one of dia schools.

 

For one statement wey dem release on Tuesday for Awka, Reverend Father Charles Ndubuisi, wey be Chancellor of di Diocese, confirm say di incident really happen and dem go do proper investigation.

 

Di Reverend Father wey dem accuse, Fr. Jude Muokwe, na di Manager of Angel Primary School for Ifitedunu, one mission school wey dey Dunukofia Local Government Area.

 

According to Ndubuisi, di Reverend Father allegedly beat Mrs. Ikeorah Maureen, wey be 50-year-old widow and teacher for di school.

 

Di incident happun on February 12, as Muokwe allegedly attack Maureen because she call other teachers for meeting to talk about salary increase.

 

“Di Diocese really regret dis kain unfortunate incident wey happun on Wednesday, February 12. We dey stand for integrity and respect for all people, and we no go ever gree for any misconduct for our schools,” Ndubuisi tok.

 

E still promise say di Diocese go do proper investigation to see if di Reverend Father break any rule, and if e dey guilty, dem go take serious disciplinary action.

 

Some school staff wey no wan make dem call dia name tok say Muokwe flog di woman with cane, slap am, and wound am for body.

 

Dem say di woman and her colleagues bin dey inside classroom dey talk about how dem fit beg for salary increase, na im di Reverend Father enter di room, begin beat Maureen, accuse am say na she arrange di meeting.

 

Di Diocese don tok say dem go follow di matter well and take appropriate action if di Reverend Father truly dey guilty.
