Members of the Association of former Local Government Chairmen of Nigeria, (ASELGON) have joined millions of Nigerians to congratulate the National President of the association, Hon. Albert Asipa on  his  65th birthday celebration.

Hon. Asipa, Chairman of Imeko/Afon Local Government Area of Ogun State between 2007-2010 turns 65 today,  Monday, March 3rd, 2025.

In a release signed by Hon. Frank Ilaboya, the Chairman, Media Committee of the body, ASELGON describes Hon. Asipa as an icon and a symbol of resilience in the nation's political ecosystem.

According to the Media Committee Chairman, "Hon Asipa will continue to remain a shining light in Nigerian politics as well as serve as a role model to the upcoming politicians.

"Aside his remarkable exploits as a local government Chairman during his tenure, Asipa also remains a firm believer of Nigeria's democracy, vocal on national issues, but humble and very unassuming personality.

"His contributions to political development in the country will remain evergreen just as he serves as a rallying point among the former local government Chairmen.

"His continued push for the former Local Government Chairmen to be relevant in the nation's  political discourse has endeared him to all and that is the person we are celebrating today.
