Anambra State Football Association, ANSFA, will hold its maiden Annual Congress on Friday, 6, 2026 in Awka, the State Capital, Exclusivenews.com.ng reports.

The Congress is billed to hold at the East End Hotel, near Aroma Junction, Awka.

The Congress is coming three weeks after the Local Football Councils election and the ANSFA Board by-election that took place on 14 and 15 January in Awka.

The Board by-election was to fill four vacant positions in the Board to complete it as a full nine - member Board.

Exclusivenews.com.ng checks reveal that two delegates from each of the 21 local government Areas of the state as well as other stakeholders including players union, referees and coaches association will be part of the Congress.

The Congress will prepare the stage for the ANSFA Elections billed to hold in June.

Since assumption of office as the Chairman of Anambra State Football Association, Chief Chikelue Iloenyosi has give Football, especially grassroot football in the state a new lease of life.
