Annie Macaulay, the Nigerian model and actress, has emphasized the central role her daughters play in her life following her recent separation from musician 2Face Idibia.

Speaking to reporters at Sunday's Headies Awards ceremony in Lagos, Macaulay made it clear that her children are now her primary focus. When asked about her family, she pointedly replied that her daughters are the only family she acknowledges.

"You mean my children? My children dey Kampe," she responded in pidgin English. "The first one dey Yankee, she dey go school. No play with that girl o. I don't play with my kids. Na them be my backbone."

The mother of two, who shares daughters Isabella and Olivia with 2Face, made another significant statement during the event when she introduced herself on stage with a reference to her newly single status.

"My name is Annie Idi—oh sorry, Annie Macaulay. Hey, single ladies!" she declared, publicly embracing her maiden name following the separation.

Macaulay's comments come amid reports that 2Face has moved on with a new relationship. Just one day before the awards ceremony, the musician reportedly introduced his new partner, Natasha, to his mother.
