An NNL Team Will Win President Federation Cup -- Aluo-led board
By Aiyeku Timothy
The George Aluo-led board has backed an NNL team to emerge winner of the ongoing President Federation Cup.
The NNL boss made this known while having a chat with newsmen in Abuja on Thursday.
According to him, the Board wants one of its teams to win the trophy, which is the reason why the Super 8 competition was postponed to June 7.
"We believe an NNL team will win the President FA Cup. We want to see them win the cup
"The President Federation Cup will be coming up. We do not want to stress our team. We already have about 14 of
them in the round of 32. So we wish all the NNL teams the very best of luck.
"Unfortunately, Nasarawa United will be playing Sokoto United (another NNL team), so one of them will be cancelled out.
"If not, I expect that Sokoto United that are making it for the first time into the Super 8 would equally go all the way but one of them will take a bow after the round of 32 but those that will go to the round of 16, we want to see one of them win the president Federations Cup.
"So, we had to adjust our calendar to now play from June 7 to 14 with Enugu still serving as our venue, and we have communicated our host, the Enugu State government."
