Amani College of Health Sciences and Technology Partners with Gwagwalada FA Football Council for 20th Gwagwalada League Edition
In a significant move to promote health and safety in grassroots sports, Amani College of Health Sciences and Technology has announced a sponsorship partnership with the Gwagwalada Football Council ahead of the 20th edition of the Gwagwalada League.
As part of the agreement, the College will provide comprehensive medical support throughout the competition, including the deployment of qualified medical personnel and the provision of first aid services at match venues.
In a proactive step toward safeguarding participants’ health, the partnership also includes free medical screenings for all team coaches prior to the commencement of the tournament. This initiative aims to ensure that every coach is medically fit to participate and lead their teams during the high-intensity competition.
The sponsorship deal was officially signed by the Rector of Amani College, with the presentation led by the Heads of Departments, represented by Mr. Israel Danjuma. Receiving the agreement on behalf of the Council, Mr. Ibrahim Bako, Chairman of the Gwagwalada Football Council, expressed heartfelt appreciation for the College’s contribution to the development of both sports and health in the community.
“This partnership is a commendable step toward enhancing the well-being of our players, coaches, and officials. We’re proud to have Amani College as a partner in our journey to make the Gwagwalada League safer and more professional,” said Mr. Bako.
The partnership underscores a growing recognition of the role health institutions can play in sports development, particularly at the grassroots level. It also reflects Amani College’s commitment to community engagement and the promotion of public health through collaborative initiatives.
The 20th Gwagwalada League is scheduled to kick off in the coming weeks and will feature clubs from across the Gwagwalada Area Council competing for top honors in what promises to be a vibrant celebration of local football talent.
