Federal High Court for Ikoyi, Lagos, on Friday hear the bail matter of Jude Okoye, wey EFCC accuse say e wash ₦1.38 billion, $1 million, and £34,537.59.

Jude, wey be Psquare former manager and elder brother, dey face seven-count charge alongside him company, Northside Music Ltd, for Justice Alexander Owoeye court.

As EFCC talk, dem say Jude use illegal money buy ₦850 million house for Ikoyi and move over $1 million through bureau de change. But Jude don plead not guilty.

Him lawyer, Inibehe Effiong, beg make dem leave Jude for EFCC hand till dem decide bail matter, but EFCC lawyer, Larry Peters Aso, no gree. E talk say EFCC cell don full, make court send am go Ikoyi prison instead.

For Friday hearing, EFCC talk say dem no wan give Jude bail because e fit run comot. But Effiong counter dem, say Jude cooperate well with EFCC. Him still tell court say Paul ‘Rudeboy’ Okoye dey court to stand as surety.

Justice Owoeye talk say make Rudeboy submit him papers, come shift bail ruling go March 3, while trial go start April 14.
