Alice Ogebe Scores Four as Yetunde Fajobi Shines in Zamalek’s 7-0 Victory Over Al Masr
Nigerian forwards Alice Ogebe and Yetunde Fajobi played pivotal roles in Zamalek’s impressive 7-0 win over Al Masry in the Egyptian Women’s Premier League on Friday.
Ogebe netted four goals, while Fajobi contributed two in the commanding victory. Fajobi opened the scoring with two goals in the sixth and 17th minutes, setting the tone for the match. Ogebe then completed a first-half hat trick with goals in the 29th, 43rd, and added time, bringing Zamalek’s lead to 5-0 at halftime.
Aya Ibrahim extended the advantage to 6-0 ten minutes into the second half before Ogebe capped off the scoring with her fourth goal.
Fajobi previously played for Edo Queens and Osun Babes in Nigeria, while Ogebe had a stint with Rivers Angels, where she won the league title before moving to Turkey.
After five matches, Zamalek sits in fifth place with nine points, six points behind league leaders Al Ahly, who have maintained a perfect record with five consecutive wins.
