Veteran Nigerian actor Ali Nuhu has shared insights into how he has maintained a stable and scandal-free marriage despite the pressures of fame and the demands of the film industry.

 

Speaking during a recent interview on With Chude, the Kannywood star emphasized that mutual respect, open communication, and understanding have been the foundation of his relationship.

 

Addressing public curiosity about his marriage, especially given his celebrity status, Nuhu said many people often question how his wife copes with the attention he receives from female admirers.

 

“Most people keep asking my wife, ‘You’re married to a celebrity, an actor. A lot of ladies admire him, they love him, but we’ve not had scandals!’ Yes, that’s because I respect her, and I respect her feelings. She does the same for me,” he explained.

 

The actor also revealed a unique approach he adopts when handling movie roles that involve romantic or intimate scenes. According to him, he actively involves his wife in reviewing such scripts to ensure transparency and mutual comfort.

 

“You know some of those scripts I did in Asaba and Lagos that required intimacy with my co-stars. I intentionally give her the script… even though I’ve already read it, she goes through it and points out certain parts, asking, ‘Are you comfortable with this? Can you do that?’ And I tell her, ‘Yes, I’m comfortable if you’re okay with it,’” he said.

 

Nuhu noted that this level of openness has helped build trust and avoid misunderstandings, allowing both partners to navigate the complexities of life in the entertainment industry.
