The newly constituted Plateau State Chapter of the Professional Footballers Association of Nigeria, PFAN, may have kicked off their humanitarian work on high following a visit to ailing former Nigeria international and ex Plateau United midfielder, Emeka Richard, Exclusivenews.com.ng reports.

Richard had been down with Diabetes for more than a year now and the Plateau State PFAN, headed by former Super Eagles striker, Ben Akwuegbu, on Saturday, 1 March, 2025, paid the sick Richard a 'get-well-quick' visit at his Abatoir, Jos, residence following his discharge from hospital at the weekend.

Exclusivenews.com.ng understands that the 7-man delegation was led by the First Vice Chairman of the Plateau PFAN, Angela Daniang with Sambo Choji (Second Vice Chairman) in attendance.

Peter Lange, who is Secretary of the Plateau PFAN, Kelechi Okoye (Protocol), Sam Pam (Welfare), Martha Chayi (Coordinator) and Hon Danjuma Isandu (member), we're also in the delegation.

Exclusivenews.com.ng reports that Plateau State PFAN delegation presented an undisclosed amount of money from the Chairman, Ben Akwuegbu, to the Ailing Richard.

An elated Emeka Richard expressed high of visits by the National and States PFAN Executive Committees and prayed for God's healing so  he can recover quickly and contribute his own quota towards the success of the organization.
