Mali on Saturday night in Abidjan, Ivory Coast defeated South Sudan 76-50 in the 2nd semifinal of the Afro Basketball Women’s championship.

Mali won the first quarter oppressing the South Sudan babes 29-8; took the 2nd quarter 21-11; also won the 3rd quarter 20-17 but relaxed in the 4th quarter to lose it 6-14.

South Sudan will have a herculean task facing Senegal in the 3rd place match at 3:30pm tomorrow Sunda. 

Nigeria's D'Tigress who made a come back to beat Senegal hands down in the first semifinal to play in her 5th concenqutive finals will play Mali in the African finals at 7pm.

Nigeria, Mali, Senegal and South Sudan will represent Africa in the 2026 world female Basketball tournament in Berlin, Germany.
