On December 19, 2025, African Coaches Connect (ACC) made a strong statement of intent as it proudly registered its presence at the Africa Sports Expo in Casablanca, Morocco—Africa’s premier platform for sports innovation, development, and cross-border collaboration. The appearance marked a significant strategic push for the African Football Convention (AFC), recently rescheduled from December 23–28, 2025 to January 5–9, 2026.

 

The Expo, recognized as the largest sports and wellness exhibition on the continent, brought together over 180 exhibitors from 20 countries. Participants included sports institutions, federations, private sector operators, and technology innovators, all showcasing cutting-edge programs, infrastructure, and services shaping Africa’s evolving sports ecosystem.

 

ACC’s delegation was led by President Eldred Sunju-Abbey, alongside National Coordinator Morocco, Mr. Christopher Nwabuzor, and Executive Director of Operations, Mr. Adedeji-Ajoje Israel. Their presence underscored the organization’s proactive engagement with key stakeholders and its commitment to fostering meaningful partnerships across African football.

 

A pan-African professional network, African Coaches Connect unites football coaches, media practitioners, lawyers, agents, sporting directors, analysts, administrators, and other critical stakeholders within the game. Its flagship initiative, the African Football Convention, serves as a high-level platform connecting clubs, federations, agencies, development institutions, and football business leaders. The convention focuses on dialogue, practical learning, strategic networking, and partnership-building designed to unlock tangible opportunities within African football.

 

During the Expo, ACC also deepened its strategic positioning in Morocco by engaging with political and football institutions, participating in forums, and strengthening partnerships aimed at ensuring the African Football Convention delivers maximum value and impact for participants.

 

As anticipation builds toward January, ACC has extended an open invitation to football professionals and enthusiasts planning to be in Morocco. The African Football Convention is expected to be a landmark gathering that reflects ACC’s growing influence and unwavering commitment to advancing football development across the continent.
