As preparations intensify for the forthcoming Judith Chime Women Championship, scheduled to hold in Enugu from December 13–21, 2025, African Coaches Connect (ACC) has formally thrown its weight behind the initiative, describing it as a transformative platform for women’s football development in Nigeria and across the continent.

In a heartfelt message, ACC President Eldred Sunju Abbey expressed deep appreciation for the work of Coach Judith Chime and her foundation, commending their commitment to elevating the women’s game.

“Thank you so much, Coach Judith and your foundation! ACC truly endorses this initiative and stands with you. We remain grateful for your tireless efforts, appreciate and cherish all you do for the love of the game, Nigeria, Africa, and Africans. We’re proud to share common goals and values with you.”

He further emphasized the importance of collaboration within the football community, calling on stakeholders to unite in support of the championship.

“Let all of us continue to partner, collaborate, support and strive for excellence in every category to support this laudable project. Nigerian and African football must grow and win! See y’all in Enugu! Thank you.”

The Judith Chime Women Championship is expected to feature top female teams, young talents, and key figures in African football, reinforcing Enugu’s growing reputation as a hub for sports development. Organizers say the tournament will not only spotlight emerging players but also advance conversations around investment, coaching, and mentorship in women’s football.

With ACC’s endorsement and growing enthusiasm across the football community, the 2025 edition is poised to be one of the most impactful women’s tournaments in the region.
