President of the Athletics Federation of Nigeria,  AFN, Chief Tonobox Okowa ,has heaped plaudits on 'fantastic' Tobi Amusan in the aftermath of her incredible 12.33secs 100m Hurdle performance at the concluded Diamond League, on Sunday.

The World Champion silenced  her critics as she  dusted others to win the women's 100m  hurdle event at the Diamond League final at the Hayward Field stadium, Eugene, Oregon,  United States of America, USA.

Tobi ran 12.33secs ahead of  competitors to clinch her 3rd Diamond League Prize, thus, becoming the second woman to win a 100m hurdles hat-trick titles, after Dawn Nelson-Harper

And a visibly elated Chief Tonobok screamed: "Oh my God! I am so happy that she has bounced back in great fashion".

The AFN boss added:
"Everyone can see that she beat the Budapest World Championship record time

"Despite losing at the World event in Budapest, Tobi did not lose hope, she started preparing hard and her new victory at the Diamond League is an indication that she would have done better in Budapest if not for psychological trauma she faced with the Atheltics Integrity Unit, AIU.

"We are very proud of her at the AFN and will continue to support and encourage her always"

Chief Tonobox Okowa, who is also the Chairman Delta State Sports Commission, ended by congratulating the feat he termed a  'remarkable showing'.

"Beating Jasmine Camacho-Quinn of Puerto -Rico to 2nd place (12.38seconds) and American Keni Harrison to 3rd in 12.44seconds is not cheap, she deserves all the accolades there is,Okowa ended
