Enyimba of Aba, Nigeria's representatives in the inaugural edition of the African Football League, AFL,  bold efforts to hit Casablanca, Morocco, early enough ahead their Wednesday's quarter final return  of the tournament has hit the rough patch, Exclusivenews.com.ng reports.

This follows Moroccan authorities inability to issue landing permit to Enyimba continent's chattered plane, thus, leaving the Nigeria top flight title holders and two time CAF Champions League winners stranded in Lagos with the crucial tie just 24 hours away.

Enyimba lost the first leg 0-1 to Wydad on Sunday in Uyo and with the reverse fixture just 72 hours away, The People's Elephant chattered Air Peace flight for the trip.

Exclusivenews.com.ng reports that after the team boarded the plane Monday evening at Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos, for the trip, the plane could not fly out as they awaited landing permit from the Moroccan authorities.

The players and officials waited inside the plane for nearly six hours without any positive development, forcing the airline authorities to disembark the team at about 1a.m.

"The airline booked two hotels for us even though it was difficult before we were checked in", an official of Enyimba informed Exclusivenews.com.ng.

"As we speak now, we're still in Lagos and don't even know if or when we would fly out because the landing permit is yet to be received".

It's not yet clear the exact time Enyimba will depart for the battle of Casablanca but  NFF could be forced to contact CAF Headquarters in Cairo, Egypt, for a possible shift in date of the crucial tie if Enyimba could not fly out on time on account of the landing permit issue.
