Nollywood actress Sarah Martins has announced that she will be taking a break from social media while calling for peace amid ongoing tensions within the film industry.

 

In a message shared online, the actress said she no longer wants to be associated with controversies surrounding Asabawood and celebrity gossip.

 

“I don’t want to be associated with anything that has to do with Asabawood and gossip again,” she wrote.

 

Martins also addressed fellow actress Destiny Etiko, acknowledging that there may have been hurt feelings but urging forgiveness.

 

“Destiny, I know you are hurt, but these people won’t let me be. They gossip you to me and also gossip me to you. Forgive and forget. I bear no grudges against you or anyone,” she stated.

 

The actress further revealed that she intends to step away from social media temporarily to focus on personal matters.

 

“Today I am announcing that I will be off social media for a while to fix certain things and make peace with certain spirits,” she added.

 

Martins also extended an apology to actor Yul Edochie for any offence she may have caused, stressing her desire to move forward peacefully.

 

“Dear Yul, I am sorry for anyway I might have offended you. I have left the pit that was dug for me just because I wanted a career. Please let peace reign,” she wrote.
