Nigerian actress Idia Aisien has opened up about a painful dating experience, revealing how a former partner allegedly betrayed her after she supported his business financially.

 

The actress made the revelation during an appearance on the talk show Toke Moments hosted by media personality Toke Makinwa.

 

Speaking during the interview, Aisien admitted that she used to financially support men she dated, especially when they were struggling to grow their businesses. According to her, she believed helping a partner during difficult times would eventually pay off when things improved.

 

“I used to. They’ll say their business is bad, I’ll give them a couple millions,” she said. “At that time you are dating for marriage so you don’t want that guy to not do well. If he is trying to invest in something that’s going to grow, you help.”

 

She added that she had always believed relationships involve mutual support, noting that she expected such men to reciprocate once they became successful.

 

However, Makinwa disagreed with the approach, advising that women should motivate their partners rather than take financial responsibility for their businesses.

 

Aisien then recounted a particular incident with one of her ex-boyfriends. According to her, after she gave him millions of naira to support his business, he suddenly became unreachable and began lying about his whereabouts.

 

The actress said the man had claimed he was in Lagos, but the truth later surfaced when her brother reportedly spotted him abroad.

 

She revealed that the man had actually travelled to Dubai, United Arab Emirates, and was not alone.

 

According to Aisien, she later discovered that he had used the same money she gave him to fly a popular socialite to Dubai, leaving her shocked and heartbroken.
